How we work

What's real, what's generated, and how you can tell

We use AI heavily and say so plainly. Here's where it's used, what it's never used for, and how every page shows you whose evidence you're reading.

Our films and images are AI-generated

Every film on our channel and most images on this site are made with AI generation tools, then reviewed by a person. They show what a food is like: its texture, its sound, the moment it changes. They are never evidence that a recipe works, how long something lasts, or what a dish will look like in your kitchen. We label them wherever they appear, and YouTube shows its own synthetic-content label on our videos.

Practical information comes from named cooks

When we tell you how long something takes, what equipment it needs or how well it keeps, that comes from a specific recipe by a named cook or publisher. We link to it, note when we checked it, and send you there to cook. We don't copy recipes or their photos.

AI helps us research and draft; a person reviews

AI tools help us find sources, organize what recipes say and draft pages. A person reads the cited recipes and checks each practical claim before anything is published. If a claim can't be checked, we leave it out or label it as not checked.

The labels

From the recipe by…
A practical claim taken from a named recipe, linked, with the date we checked it.
Not checked yet
Something we couldn't verify, or a question the recipe doesn't answer.
Tested by Sensory Cooking
Reserved for when we've actually cooked something and kept a record. We haven't used it yet.
Fits your plan Plan around this Risky for this plan
Our reading of how a recipe's own instructions fit a specific plan. They're judgments, not test results.

What we won't do

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us. We fix errors on the page and note what changed and when.
